About
I'm Shlok Sawant, an AI engineer who builds systems that make it to production.
Most of my work is about agents that talk to real people. That means voice agents that answer phones, handle someone cutting them off mid-sentence, and respond in under two seconds, plus LLM agents that call tools, pull in the right context, and get checked with evals before they ship. I built Setoo, a voice agent that takes 800–1,200 calls a day for a Maruti Suzuki service dealer. I also worked on candidate-screening voice agents handling around 5,000 calls a month, and I'm on the founding team at skitre.ai, whose speech-assessment AI runs in 100+ colleges.
On the side I build my own products. Rezonna is a multilingual voice SaaS. Ryft is an app I built alone and grew to 50+ daily users. Ribhus is an open-source agent that lives in WhatsApp.
I like the unglamorous part of AI: latency budgets, cost per minute, what happens when the network drops mid-call, and the eval that catches a regression before a user does. I mostly work in Python, LangGraph, MCP, WebRTC and AWS.
I'm open to AI engineer, applied AI and forward-deployed roles. If you're building something that has to work with real users, say hi.
