Stack
- Supabase
A workout tracker for people who train with friends. Build a routine, log the session, and stay consistent with the squad. It is free, and it installs as a PWA.
Problem
Existing workout apps felt bloated and disconnected. Logging mid-set was clumsy, and training with friends meant a separate chat. Three friends built Ryft to be simple enough to use between sets, and fun enough to come back to.
Constraints
- Usable mid-set: sets, reps, weight, and timed exercises, without a heavy app.
- A PWA. Add it from Safari or Chrome. No App Store install.
- Free.
- Social stays on what is already shipped: workout summaries, exercise detail, progress, and cheers. Challenges, leaderboards, and squad competitions are still coming.
Architecture
A plan becomes a live session. Start the workout, log sets as they happen, and change an exercise mid-session without losing the log. The rest timer starts itself between sets.
Progress is charts, streaks, XP, levels, badges, and personal records picked up from the log. Friends see the finished workout and can react. The app is at app.joinryft.com.
